Stewart New Chargers Coach
By Cameron Whiteley
NBL veteran and long-time club captain Anthony Stewart has been appointed as Head Coach of the Hobart Chargers
for two seasons. Stewart replaces Dan Krebs, who earlier this month stepped down to focus on coaching at the junior
level. As well as coaching, Stewart will continue to play in season 2009, and will review his playing career at the end
of the season. This makes two player-coaches for the Tasmanian SEABL men's teams, with Sam Armstrong taking up a
similar position with the NW Tasmania Thunder in 2009. Stewart will be assisted on the sidelines by assistant coaches
Paul Davie, Willie Joseph and Craig Taylor. Brett Johnstone has also been appointed as team manager/trainer for next season. Full Article courtesy of The Mercury |
