What's Up Next for the Hobart Chargers.....2011

CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON

2010 'ALL SEABL Team'Brandon Polk Hobart Chargers All SEABL Team 2010
Congratulation to Brandon Polk on his inclusion in the 2010 ALL SEABL South Men's Team. The "All SEABL Team" is decided by the coach and captain of each team. The team is selected by playing position from a list of players that received Most Valuable Player votes throughout the regular playing season.

BRANDON POLK
On seventeen occasions this year Brandon had double figures in points and rebounds, including six games in a row at the end of the season. His agility and speed made him difficult for other sides to match up with in the power forward position, and his inside presence perfectly complimented a Hobart side with excellent perimeter shooting. Possibly his best outing for the year came in July against fellow finalists Sandringham, where he finished with 21 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists. Read More

Congratulations Chuck, Myra and a big welcome to Brienne!
The Mercury - Long wait test of nerves - Adam Smith 19 August
Our very own Chuck Long lived every father's dream - and every sportsman's nightmare - waiting for the birth of his baby girl Brienne on Saturday night. Long missed Hobart's preliminary final clash with Nunawading. Watching the game unfold via the SEABL website, the American import was a bundle of nerves hoping his teammates could get over the line, while also waiting for Brienne to pop her head into the world. "Brienne was born at 10.56pm, it was a great joy and nothing I have ever experienced."
